The library is not where the simulator looks for it. Two cases: the installer went to a folder other than the game
you actually start, which happens when there have been two installations, Store then Steam, or else the
version.dll file has been taken out of the simulator folder, sometimes by another tool. Reinstall Ozone: the
installer puts the library back in the right place.

Check the green dot at the top of the Studio first. If it is green and the image does not move, look at Global
intensity: at 0%, a theme is applied but does nothing. Finally, if you fly with DLSS, some of the frames do not
go through Ozone (chapter 16)

Take it again. If it happens again, take it while the simulator is in flight and settled rather than during a loading
screen: the photograph is asked of the simulator, and a scene that is still loading does not always hand back a
whole one.

Yes, but the annotations are only kept for the current session: a document with no location on disk has nowhere to store them permanently.

Restart the simulator, then reopen the Studio and apply your theme again: that is the remedy we know, and it
has always been enough so far. We have not yet named the cause of this one, and we would rather write it this
way than pretend. If it happens to you, write to us: your theme and what you had just switched on will help us
find it.

The size is fixed when the note is placed. To enlarge it, erase it and place it again with the size you want.

Yes: below a certain window width, the toolbar automatically switches to an icon-only layout so the controls remain usable.

The companion cannot see the simulator. Check that a flight is loaded (the main menu is not enough) and that the companion icon is present next to the Windows clock. If it is not, start FS Studio REC from the Start menu.

The companion is not running, or it has been closed. Start it again from the Start menu, then reopen the panel. To stop having to think about it, turn on Démarrer automatiquement avec Windows (start automatically with Windows) in the notification area menu.

The panel was not copied to the right place, or MSFS has not re-read its Community folder yet. Restart the simulator. If the icon is still missing, reinstall and point the installer at your Community folder by hand: it offers to.

Another application is already using it, or Windows has reserved it, which is common with Print Screen on Windows 11. Choose another key: F9 to F12 are the safest. A reminder: the button does not capture the key you press, you click it to cycle through the choices.

Check the position of the gear switch on your joystick or quadrant first. A two-position latching switch asserts its position to the simulator continuously: left on “down”, it cancels the replayed retraction. Set it to “up” before starting the replay. Telltale sign: gear extension on landing works but retraction after takeoff does not; this is exactly what a switch stuck on “down” produces. See chapter 6.3.

Some third-party add-ons intercept the simulator’s commands to handle them themselves. FS Studio REC takes, for each control, the route the aircraft accepts, but a particular add-on can always block one of them. Send us the exact name of the aircraft and which control is affected.

It has only been recorded since version 1.0. Earlier flights do not contain that data, so it can be neither displayed nor replayed. A new recording will contain it.

Report it: that is not normal behaviour. Tell us the aircraft and, if you can, the moment in the flight: ground, climb, approach.

No, and that is deliberate: it would produce a recording of a flight that never happened. The product refuses to start a replay during a recording.

You are most likely in exclusive fullscreen, where Windows does not allow capture. Switch to windowed or borderless mode.

Yes. Change the folder from the notification area menu, then move your existing files into the new folder: they will be found there.

That is expected: uninstalling removes the licence. Enter the key you received with your order again. If you cannot find it any more, contact support with your order number.
